There are times when you'll decide you want to reinstall RAT. Maybe it's been a while since you upgraded and the upgrade is just not working right for you, maybe you've decided RAT isn't for you (I support your right to be wrong! ;) ) and you just want remove it.

Whatever your reasons, here are instructions on how to 100% remove RAT from your system.

The following steps are listed in order to remove a specific function of RAT, in order to 100% remove RAT, please follow all of the instructions below.

Uninstall RAT
Uninstall is done through the standard Windows uninstall using the Add/Remove Programs functions.

Delete the RAT database
Open Windows Explorer, navigate to: %appdata%
Delete the "NomadSoft" folder

Delete the RAT Settings (also used if RAT doesn't start up for you)
Open Windows Explorer, navigate to: C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local
Delete the "NomadSoft" folder

So tekkan, I remove all my Nomadsoft folders, yet when I reinstall RAT it still seems to be finding some configuration somewhere.
Any ideas?

Nothing I can think of, those folders are literally the only place I know of and I've done this many times. Make sure that you do both the Roaming and Local folders.

I know it's way too late, yet I wanted to point out something I just found out today through trial and error. After uninstalling 7D2D RAT, you need to "Verify integrity of tool files" within the Steam application.

RAT doesn't change the game files other than the serverconfig.xml so it has to be a coincidence, but.... glad that worked. I've had to do that myself a few times.
I'm not sure why but Steam "fixed" 11 files. Maybe something I did while messing around getting everything running.
