Can't wait for the head start tomorrow! Contemplating on upgrading my founder's pack...thoughts?

Welcome - it's all about the funds and your intent on playing long term. The upgrade from Silver to Gold is a better deal than upgrading to Archeum at this point (the Daru chests could pay off though) As long as you have Silver and can get in some time tomorrow to claim your land you are good, the other upgrades are just gravy at this point.
 
I've been trying to do some research, are there any vital tips you guys have as far as not getting completely screwed with regards to trying to quickly claim land during the headstart?
 
do only the green quests to get gilda star. Once you do the last missions in two crown buy housing prints to plop down which will reserve your large farm spots
 
Yup, get your gilda ASAP, grab two cottages and plop them side by side where you want to make your home. You can worry about building them later.
