Hello. It is a well known problem in 7 days to die that there are many players who use known game exploits to dupe... These aren't hacking so to speak.. but "glitches" that players deliberately take advantage of to duplicate items. It can get pretty ridiculous once you notice a player who just joined, who is maybe level 10, and has level 500 items, virtually infinite resources, and is just on the game ruining the gameplay experience for other players who work hard and legitimately earn their loot. While, much of the time, I look at players inventories manually and try to discern who has been duping based on logic... I suppose that while this will probably work most of the time, this is not a fail-proof method. (It is also a little bit time consuming)... I think implementing a feature to automatically detect players who duplicate items would be awesome. And for the admin to either be notified of the automatic duping, and decide what to do from there, or to have a setting to have 7DTDrat automatically ban cheating/exploiting players.

I can try and add in something, but I'd need to know the "logic" that I'd use? What would be considered a duplicate? For instance, when you're looking through someone's inventory, how do you determine that they are duplicating items?

New user, not trying to necro old threads, recently found your server manager and trying to help. I normally use weapons to detect duplication. I don't know if you can see the individual parts that make up a gun or not, but anytime a weapon is identical in # to another one, its a cause for closer look. If the parts are identical, it's duped. The chances of having two identical numbered weapons with identical numbered parts that isn't maxed at 600 are astronomical. Now once it's late game, and the user can put items into the workbench and make 600 level items with the shear volume of pieces, its not something to worry about. But looking at the weapons are how I would look at it.
Specifically anything in the gun category that matches another player. One match yellow flag, two matches red flag, three matches, !jail.

No necro at all, good information is good. =) I like the idea though and I'll see if I can add something like that in. =)
