Discord to Server Chat

I love using RAT so far. I just got it setup today.

One feature I would like to see with the Discord bot is the ability to send chat from a specified channel in the Discord to the server chat. Have it say the Discord username first in the message followed by their actual message.

I was using Dishorde for this before setting up RAT. But I didn't want to double up the Telnet and potentially cause issues so I turned off Dishorde for now. If that functionality could be added to RAT, that would be great. :)

I just realized this functionality exists currently but I'm having difficulty properly implementing it. I'm trying to have RAT watch a particular discord channel for any chat from a discord user that isn't the bot and have it send that chat to the game server chat,

Also, apologies for creating this before I realized it was an implemented feature. I would have deleted this forum post but it doesn't appear I can. So, I figured I might as well ask for help at this point.

I figured it out now. No help needed. Thank you for your work. :D

Out of curiosity what did you end up doing for it to be an implementation issue? I am struggling with the setup on mine.
This assumes you were able to successfully setup the discord bot and test connection.

First you have to go into your Groups and go to Default (if your discord channel is a public one in your server and you intend for all public chat to go there). Then you need to set at least the public channel to whatever the channel name is minus the # at the beginning.

Once that's done, go to Events and find Discord Chat to Game. It should look like what I have in the photo.

Are you using CPM?

Hey BadPlayer, sorry it took so long to reply, the last week has been a nightmare. At the moment I am not using CPM however I have been looking into it. I am open for any suggestions.
Not sure why I replied with that, lol.

Did you get your Discord bot going?

Lol I do that all the time so its all good. I to am going to apologize for not replying... The last few weeks have been an absolute disaster. So in short yes. Took a little bit to learn which events did what and what to change and how if functions but we are good to go. Now I have the delight to figure out how to get it working again since I transferred the server to a different machine (its initial dedicated server that it was suppose to go on originally). I think it may be something with the token. However, as long as I have the settings matching what was on the previous we should be good.

I am going to look into this CPM thing though. From what my understanding it has many more features that could benefit. Since you brought up the question whether or not I was using CPM is there things that I may need to know about?

Thanks!

Is RAT and the server on the same machine, or are they separate now?

CPM is a great tool, it gives you many great features.
