Every captain starts in debt, the Federation doesn’t give out warships for free. You’ve got 30 days to repay your ship loan before a 5% daily interest kicks in.
You can repay your debt at The First Bank of Terra (Sector 3).
Other Ways to Rack Up Debt
- Federation fines
- Emergency tows
- Legal fees (you’ll know when)
What Happens If You Owe Over 15,000,000 Credits
If your total debt exceeds 15 million credits, the Federation steps in:
Cargo prices increase by 10% when buying
5% goes to Federation war taxes
5% goes directly toward paying down your debt
Debt isn’t the end of your journey, but ignore it too long, and the galaxy gets a whole lot more expensive.
