Cant connect RAT to Telnet

Hello, I have used this tool in the past on a previous server, but now that I have switched to a new provider for my dedicated server I cannot get RAT to connect to Telnet, rendering RAT useless.....

I have entered in my server details, telnet details, all with correct port and info etc, but the Telnet remains yellow in the lower right corner. I can connect to Telnet normally out of RAT, whats going on?
 
just sounds like a miss configured setting as you can connect outside of rat.
i would say to look through the 3 settings again in rat vs the serverconfig.xml settings.
I don't see any reason besides for that to connect with or without rat as its the same kinda connection.
With that said what does the rat logs tell you when you try?
 
Those are the correct ports, I click connect and it turns yellow for 5 secs then goes back to red....Im really stumped by this....
 
so you have rat running on the same host?
just asking as thats not where you put that stuff for a "remote"/ non remote connection
 
RAT is on my PC the server is hosted in London via GTX Gaming, I have spoke to them but they cant help on 3rd party software as you can imagine.
 
ya so you cant use anything under the server settings tab
as thats for if its on the same box an hint hint "remote" the 1st tab in rat :)
