If you look just above the forum list on the main page, you'll now see two rows of tabs. The top row are categories and the row under that are tabs for groups of forums.
This allows us to more cleanly display the forums and allow you to view the forums you want. It's still in beta and going through some changes, but it should be useful to you in it's current status.
One of the things you can do is add forums to your favorites, you'll see a small green + sign across from each forum, clicking that will automatically add this to your favorites list. You can also edit your favorites list from your Settings page.
