I have an active server that me and my friends play on, and I would like to install RAT.
We are on day 46, and would not want to lose our progress or the stuff we have collected.
Will installing RAT cause players to lose their stuff?

Thanks in advance, and for such a great admin tool.

Nope, RAT doesn't modify your files in that way. Just make sure that when you start up RAT, you import your serverconfig.xml file (there's a button on the local tab). That way all of your server config is pulled into RAT. Worst case, you forget and the game name defaults to something else. All you have to do is change that on the Game Settings 1 tab to your original game name, and it'll load that up instead. Nothing is deleted, etc. =)

Thank you very much for your reply.
I installed this on another server running on the same box, that server is a new one, so I wasn't worried about losing anything.
That was good experience, so I don't think I will have a problem with the primary server.
Do you think installing the alpha 2.0 version would be a good idea? Would you feel confident running it in it's current state?

Thanks you for all the work you do on this, it is a very helpful tool.

I'd wait on the next alpha release, there are a few bugs that could annoy people. =) Nothing major in the sense of anything bad happening, but... not the greatest user experience. Next version should hopefully clear up a lot of those issues.

And no problem, I enjoy writing RAT and am glad you are finding it useful! =)
