I noticed that you can't remove the announcing of server backup start+end trigger. Even if you delete the messages and click Save....its back in a bit and announcing to the server population as well.
This is really an unwanted feature in our case. Could it be moved to Event Editor windows instead perhaps (?)

Bug?

If you are running the latest version of RAT, it should be in the event editor and only there. If you remove it from the event, its gone. Let me know what happens though since those are new events, something could be bugged.

Thanks for the answer.

Are you sure? I can't find it even on a fresh install of RAT on another computer.
Where I find the text though is under Server Settings > LOCAL > Backup/Restore -tab

If it is in the event editor...could you advise what it is called.

Ahh ok, sorry, I tend to think in terms of the Experimental release since that is what I actively work on. Have you gone to File -> Settings, Email tab and unchecked those events? That'll work for any emails.

So, if you clear the messages out in the backup tab, do the messages appear back in the backup tab? I don't mean do they appear as announcements in the server, I mean just do they appear to not save?

I ask this because RAT doesn't display the current number of players online to players. So it sounds like you might have another mod installed that is doing some things that you are not aware of. Possibly backing things up as well?

None of those are checked...however the thing is that the backup messages are being displayed in chat (not emailed).
If I clear the messages in the backup-tab and click Save its back again later for some reason and it keeps announcing every 120 mins in chat (my backup interval).

I just reproduced the bug by closing down RAT and opening it up again....messages are back.
"Server backup started, please be aware of possible lag for the next minute or so."
"Backup completed."

I do not get what you mean by your last sentence. But I am positive I have no other mods installed. Alloc, BCM and running RAT. Thats it.

Ok, so I was looking into this and its unfortunately not something to fix. Its a bug in the current Stable release in that there is no mechanism to disable the message, but its not a problem in the current experimental release. With the new changes I've put into place with the event system, you have control over what is done for most events now. So... you can upgrade to the current experimental version or wait until I release the next stable release (not sure when that is going to be).
