I am hosting my 7D2D RAT server on my local server at my house. Everything says it's public (everything is green on the server status) and I've made sure that my router is pointing the IP directly to the server.

I can see it on my LAN no problem from gaming machine.

Thing is, my 7D2D server is not visible publicly until I join it. Even after my friends add it to their favorites, they still can't see it until I join it, then they can see it on their friend's server's list, and also on the Public List.

Any ideas?

I've heard of this happening a couple of times, but I really have no idea what the cause or solution is. I know its nothing to do with RAT and would have to be server side for sure. Sorry I can't actually offer any help on fixing it, I just don't know.

I figured it out!

I made a check list for myself to make sure I don't forget. Maybe this will help others:

Making it Public, without needing to join it via LAN

  • Windows Firewall
    • 7DaysToDie.exe is Public
    • 7D2DRat.exe is Public
  • Turn off TorGaurd
  • Log into Router and point 7D2D port to Server computer
