How do I know if someone is hacking?

I've noticed two people flying. I partied with one of the two people flying. They said that they have a mod that allows them to fly, wait - what?!, I thought that the server mods were the only mods in effect? The other thing is whenever we need ammo, he is able to produce massive quantities of it - I haven't seen him partied up with any other members. I'm standing in the middle on what to do because I am inexperienced and lack knowledge. I replayed the video I recorded and calculated that he made exactly queued 64,329 slugs in the benches. I did not have any materials left in my boxes. I forgot to mention; they were falling into my moat which would have resulted in a guaranteed death therefore they flew out.

He's cheating, ban him.

No one should be able to fly without you specifically giving them access to do so (god mode basically). No one should be able to create ammo in those quantities either, not without a crapton of resources and time.

There are mods out there that will help detect these kinds of things. I think Server Tools does it.

Also, there are a ton of cheats out there for 7d2d. Typically they are flying, spawning items and teleporting. But they exist and are easily available. The only thing you can do is lock down your server with a password, get more trusted admins, find mods to help deal with it, or be online 24/7 (which of course isn't possible).

Up to you on how you wanna run your server. =) But if I knew cheaters were allowed, I wouldn't play there. But as I said, you're an admin now, how you run your server is 100% up to you. =)

Trekkan, I appreciate your quick response. I banned him and now I will see if i can find the server tools to add.

Also, if you have EAC disabled, that is a huge red flag for hackers. I know it needs to be disabled for some servers but if you can leave it on, that is the best way.

I have server tools enable, it says it has anti cheat built in. I installed it and I think that's all I have to do, correct?

You'll have to read up on that yourself, I don't actually use it as I don't need it (my servers are always private and password protected), so I've never personally used it (Although I know a lot of people do).
